Richard L. Becker, counsel to the City of Lafayette Housing Authority, recently closed a $6,550,000.00 construction loan with Capital One, NA for a 43 unit affordable housing development known as Villa Gardens, 500 Patterson Street, Lafayette, LA. The Housing Authority is the sponsor of the development which, after completion, will be financed with a permanent loan from Capital One, NA, tax credit equity and subordinate debt financing provided by the Lafayette Public Trust Financing Authority and the Louisiana Housing Finance Agency.
